Hello & Welcome

I consider it an honor that you may consider me as a possible partner in your wellness. My treatment experience spans a wide range of life ages and stages. While I began my career working with early childhood and school-aged anxiety, trauma, behavioral concerns, & adjustment challenges, over time I grew into supporting parents/caregivers, then eventually adults with many unique life experiences. In sessions, I utilize components of cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma focused CBT, person-centered/experiential therapy, mindfulness, and Brainspotting with individuals, caregivers, and groups.

I currently can offer virtual therapy services at this time.  School contracting and consultation is offered in person.

Jocelin Bailey, LICSW, LCSW-C, LMSW

It is important to me that mental health be viewed as interwoven into overall health. I am encouraged to hear more widespread conversation about prioritizing emotional wellbeing. Teletherapy/Virtual Therapy has been integral to providing greater comfort and access for all.

About Jocelin

I received a BA in Sociology at Albion College, then an MSW at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Having lived in Washington, DC, Maryland, and Michigan, I am a Licensed Clinical/Masters Social Worker and able work with clients virtually in all three of these locations.

If we work together, you can expect a warm, collaborative approach toward your goals. I work from the belief that our relationship is of primary importance. While I utilize traditional talk therapy modalities, listening, and connecting thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, I also bring the body-brain connection to your processing and healing as a brainspotting therapist. I work from the belief that you already have the capacity to heal within, and I can support that process. I am skilled in addressing challenges with mood, anxiety, insomnia, trauma, stress, parenting, and life transitions. In addition, I have specific certifications in parent-child interaction therapy and CBT for insomnia, and I am a certified Daring Way™ facilitator, a curriculum developed by Brene Brown that addresses shame resilience and self-compassion. Im am licensed in Michigan, Maryland, & DC.
