PCIT is an evidence-based treatment model and targets children ages 2-7 with behavioral and emotional challenges, involving their parents/caretakers in the process. Using this approach, I coach and support parents in skills that promote cooperation and emotion regulation in children. This format lends itself very well to effective online therapy and coaching.
SPACE is a parent-based treatment program for children and adolescents with anxiety, OCD, and related challenges. It was developed by Dr. Eli Lebowitz at the Yale Child Study Center and has been tested and found to be efficacious in clinical trials.
Parents and caregivers can absolutely still be the strongest allies along their children’s journey to wellness. EFFT is an evidence-based treatment with a caregiver skills series, exposing caregivers to practical skills and techniques for advanced parenting/caregiving.
Brainspotting utilizes the brain-body connection in treatment and healing. “Where you look affects how you feel” is a hallmark of Brainspotting. This modality is different from traditional talk-therapy. It is considered a non-oppressive model, as it trusts that the client’s brain already has the capacity to settle and heal. The therapist says less in this modality.
This insomnia treatment for adults is helpful for those experiencing sleep difficulties, either falling asleep or staying asleep. It is a short term treatment (5-7 sessions in total), and focuses on shifting how we think about sleep and supports clients in implementing new structured behaviors that strengthen the brain’s natural “sleep system”.
The Daring Way™ is a curriculum developed by Brene Brown for building self-awareness, confidence through authenticity, and relationship skills. There is a focused component of developing self-compassion and shame resilience in this work.
